Zombie Attack! is not your typical tower defense game, by adding a controllable 'Survivor' character it adds a fun and fast paced element to the genre. Overall this is a very polished game, but is lacking in variety. Hopefully the developers will add some additional maps, tower types and zombies to the next version.

Zombie Attack! reminds me of the battle of Stalingrad, except that the zombies were the Russians. Anyways, the game follows the open field style of tower defense games, but adds a few important twists. Firstly, you can control your survivor character with an on-screen joystick (nicely implemented) and use him to build and upgrade towers, or even man a tower to increase it's effectiveness. He is vulnerable, so you have to also run away from any zombies that get too close. The other new element is the 'Shack', which is the zombies' target instead of walking through a gate at your end of the map. As they approach the shack they try to tear it down, but if you can keep them at bay long enough, the shack will repair itself.

The downside is that there is not much more to the game, you pretty much just fight off the zombies as long as you can. There are no additional maps or story elements, the only driving force is pretty much to just get the highest score. But overall, for the low price, it's definitely worth it.
