Our favorite subject, world domination! Lux has been a long time favorite among Mac gamers in the arena of world domination, aka Risk style games. The iPhone version lives up to it's reputation and is an excellent example of bringing a complex strategy game to the small screen. The peoples are pleased to award it the World Domination Star for the best in genre. Ukraine is not weak!

Lux has everything you could want from an iPhone version of a world domination game. You can play versus the AI players or with a group up to 6 human comrades. A few maps, including the classic risk map, are included with the game, but you can download more straight from the game, and the developers are adding new ones all the time.

The game could use some sort of wifi or even internet multiplayer options and the touch interface needs a bit of tweaking. The interface issue comes up because you can pinch-zoom and pan around the maps, sometimes when you are panning around the map and have troops to place, you can accidentally place a whole pile of troops on the wrong territory. On the other hand, this doesn't happen too often and you just have to be careful.
