What can I say, it's a good first experiment into the world of iPhone game programming and might turn into a fun game in a few versions, but BattleBotz is a pretty basic game that should probably be free for now. The graphics and sound are pretty simple and strategy lacking.
There is definitely some potential for BattleBotz to beome a fun turn-based mech game. One cool twist is that you can pick up Loot to restore health or upgrade your Bot during combat, but most of the time it's not worth using up your movement points when you could just stand in one place and fire (moving will reduce the number of weapons you can use). With an improvement in graphics, game balance, strategy elements and mission variety, this could turn into a fun iPhone strategy game. We'll report further on new versions and hopefully have good news in a few months.
