In many ways 7 Cities TD is a typical path based tower defense game, you build towers long a designated path and try to stop waves of enemy units, but what makes it stand apart is the upgrade and experience system for the towers. Not only can you upgrade the effectiveness of your towers, you can give them special abilities when they gain enough experience. If you like tower defense games, then it's one of your better choices, but if you've had enough of the genre this will just give you more of the same.
